A Joyfilled Season

So as we approach the holiday season I am struck by the joy that permeates the day to day. Families spending time together, showing love through the breaking of bread and giving of gifts. Reflection about the ultimate gift that God gave to us--His Son.

We have come across some financial roadblocks in the past week that have changed our plans, have thrown a stone in what we perceived as a fairly smooth path. We are discouraged by this, but will not be downtrodden. We know that God has a plan for this, and our adoption is in His plan. We know that His plan is always perfect, and always best. And we know that although we may not see these new complications as a gift--that they are in fact a part of His perfect plan, and so must be perfect also.

God help us today to trust in you above all. Help us to trust that you will fix this financial situation. Help us trust that you will provide the funds for this adoption. Help us to trust that you will protect and nurture our sweet baby boy. Help us to trust.

  1. Hi, this is my first time on your blog, saw on the Haiti adoptions fb page. I just wanted to encourage you as we can look back over the years of financial road blocks in awe. God has proven He is faithful over and over and over again. No doubt you will see this too. We don't know where the money came from at times, it just did. We are not done yet and wonder were the rest of the monies will come from but know in His time, right when we need it, it will come. I will be praying for you and your family! God bless you! :)
