It has been said that money is what makes the world go round. I’m not sure I agree, but money certainly does grease the wheels of this adoption train. I will be ecstatic when we file our taxes and get our annual return—because that will mean we can pay the fees necessary to get our dossier on to Haiti, and be that much closer to getting our baby boy home.
I feel such a burden to hold that baby, to rock him in my arms and let him fall asleep on my stomach. Our children are praying for him daily, and I know that his name is mentioned several times a day in prayer to our Heavenly Father.
Adoption seems to be moving in Haiti—I watch all the blogs and it seems that files are being approved and dispensation is being granted.
So, instead of a resolution for 2012—this is my prayer for 2012:
Dear God:
help me bring Ezekiel home. Please show yourself powerful and miraculous in the midst of the chaos and ruin that can be Haiti. Expedite this adoption for this baby boy, and for our family. We will do whatever it is You want us to do. We will obey you in this and in whatever else You want for our lives. Your word says that we don’t receive, because we don’t ask—well I’m asking. Please bring him home in 2012. We will need the finances and favor for our case to move swiftly through the courts. You know what is best. That sweet baby is spending his first months at an orphanage—we want him to be home with us.
With Love from your Daughter,
Chassidy
