Prayers please....

We are in a season of waiting right now. Our dossier has been compiled and sent to the agency, to be checked and authenticated. However, there is one tiny snag (a very old snag)that threatens us now. Our adoption facilitator, Diana Boni, really knows her stuff. And she has promised that she is doing all she can to ensure a smooth and safe passage of our dossier into Haitian IBESR. But first, she is negotiating on our behalf because of this "snag".

She is convinced that she will be successful, and I am convinced that if God is for us, who can stand against us? I refuse to believe that God has brought us this far in this process just to abandon us now. I believe that He has a plan here, and that out of His plan, we will see His power and strength more clearly than ever.

This past weekend, our area was struck by tornadoes. While we are vastly thankful for God's provision and being personally spared from this--we also feel guilty about those around us who were devastated by it. Stand by for God's larger plan in this.

Exactly two weeks ago a central member of our church family died in a tragic car accident. He left behind a beautiful wife and two children. We don't understand this. But we are waiting to see God's plan for this.

In these two tragedies, and in our own adoption story, we are learning a vital principle--prayer. We must pray continually and fervently for God's will and provision and ongoing protection. We must pray for his favor. We must pray.
