The Tie that Binds

We were able to spend what was an amazing and joy filled 7 days with baby boy, and his family in Haiti several days ago. One week ago, we held him one last time....one week ago, Jason shook hands with his father, I hugged his mother's neck tight.

If God himself had reached down and plucked that child up and handed him to us, we could not feel more *chosen* and more blessed to be part of His plan. It is awe inspiring to imagine God moving, His spirit preparing what must be the very heavy and filled heart of those parents. It is humbling to read the trust and love in their faces for us, for our family. It is exhilarating to know that if God be for us, no man can be against us.

Time, nor circumstance, nor money, nor any agenda can stop what God has ordained in this situation. I'm not at all sure of the reasons, or the plan here. But I know He has one.

Baby boy goes to the orphanage very soon to stay....his parents must give him to the loving arms of the orphanage in order to relinquish him for adoption. They are not giving him up. They have planned for this baby--they have planned a future for him that they feel they cannot provide.

And that's the tie that binds us. Their plan & God's plan= our hope, the baby's hope~~the baby's future. A changed family tree for our family, a changed life, a changed church & group of friends and family as he is welcomed into our circle.

This week will begin a flurry of home study interviews which will culminate in a home study on Tuesday night at our house. Please pray that all goes well and quickly. Please pray that our dossier is finished very soon, and is mailed to Haiti before 2011 ends. Please pray for favor in the courts in Haiti~~for a quick presidential dispensation, and for God's will to be done above all.

Above all~~please pray.
