And we're OUT!

Out of IBESR after 6 months....how good is our God?

We are planning to leave on Saturday, April 6th and staying for a week for a court appearance and to file our I-600, which will begin the U.S. immigration process for both boys.

Next Steps:

-Lower courts (April 8-12)

-Parquet (very complex series of steps and processes involving multiple offices). Adoption decree comes out of parquet. (1 week-2 months)

-Legalizations after Parquet- (2-4 weeks)

-Ministry of the Interior (MOI)- all cases are reviewed by MOI in order to obtain a passport for the boys. Adoption decree approval here, everything together for the passports. They are legally our children--Kerme and Jeff Bibb at this point! (1-2 months)

-Passports-Print the passports here. (1 week-2 months)

-U.S. Immigrations- US immigrations (USCIS) performs the most rigorous investigation of international adoptions. (3-4 weeks if all goes well)

So, it could be anywhere from 3-10 months to bring the boys home. It should definitely be before Christmas, but probably won't be before the fall. It would be lovely to be about July, but I won't hold my breath on that one. :)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!April Trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the fun staff-- I can't wait til April 6th to scoop those boys up and hug them til they can't move. haha.

We will be spending about 6 days with them, then going to visit some friends who run a clinic in Gressier, Haiti. Jason will stay on for 7 more days with them while I return home to be with our kiddos.

Please pray for him, I have a feeling he won't like being away from his cute wife and fabulously behaved children for that long.

If you'd like to donate anything for our trip, the following is pretty easy to take along and is very appreciated! Items do not have to be new, but please don't send anything you would't put on your own child. The only clothing needed is for school uniforms and Haitians are meticulous about their appearance, children especially look nice for school. (think private/Catholic school uniform)

I am willing to meet anywhere to pick up donations, as is Jason. If you don't have our contact numbers you can contact me on Facebook or by email at bibbnabb@aol.com

We love Haiti and the people there and are excited that God allows us to go and make a difference.
