Postcards from Haiti

For those who have been waiting on an update here it is.

We spent many precious days with the boys making memories that make me smile. We got to spend time with them one on one in a beautiful setting, which allowed us to get to know them much better. They both have such cute personalities and individual preferences and needs/wants, which is a delight to explore.

Jeff is smart, articulate and loving. He loves to laugh and smile which is something that I've not seen a lot prior to this trip. He looooovvvvveeeesss him some Daddy time, which you will see below.

Kerme is sweet and giggly, and a little demanding, but in a typical toddler kind of way. He only cried once the entire 4 days we had them away from the orphanage and that was when he hit his head. He went right to sleep at night and had a good appetite, though he definitely has established food preferences! Carb boy!

We went to court and to our embassy appointments and they went well.

I can't get my vertical pics to upload correctly so I apologize that they are horizontal here. Monday morning slow brain I suppose! Enjoy!

I've never seen a boy enjoy Dad time so much!

Bresma Guesthouse where we stayed for several days. Super nice, great food, loved that balcony!

Court day!

***Next steps***
1. Exit IBESR (we haven't gotten official word that this has occurred, likely our file is awaiting a signature)
2. Go through Parquet court process (we initiated this with our court visit). This is also where we receive our Adoption Decree and the boys will legally be ours.
3. MOI (Ministry of Interior)--more legalizations and signatures
4. Passports- boys receive Passports from Haitian gov't
5. USCIS- U.S. gov't investigates our case
6. Visa--boys obtain Visa to come home to U.S.
7. Travel to get them!

Please pray that the rest of our process goes quickly and smoothly so they can be home in the fall. I would love, love, love for Jeff to celebrate his 11th birthday on October 13th at home with us!
