So what's next?

Well, since I-600 approval is done, we wait on the Visa appointment for our boys. This is an appointment that they will attend, where they will receive their Visa to enter the U.S.

About 1 week after that appointment, we can pick them up! It is recommended that we wait one week, to be sure the appointment goes well and the Visa's are picked up, as well as an exit letter we will need at the airport when departing from Haiti.

We hope that if you've followed our story, or it has impacted you, you will try to come to the airport when we get home with the boys. It will be overwhelming for them (and maybe us) no doubt, but it is a picture that I want to have for them to remember--a huge welcome home party--complete with balloons and family and friends!

After we get home with the boys, we will probably lay low for a bit. There will be doctor appointments and such, but we will try to limit outside visitors for a bit in the first week or two. Some experts recommend that you limit visitors for quite some time, but we will play it by ear and see what the boys need.

Being part of a family will be new for them. They will be leaving everything they know behind, and will have to learn to trust us, and how to interact in a family. So for a while, we will ask that you don't pick them up, feed them, offer candy or gifts. They will need to trust us, their parents, primarily--and trust that we will meet their needs.

I think that's all for now. Jason and I have some spring cleaning to do at home, I washed both boys' bedding today, and suitcases to pack!

Oh! I almost forgot! If you are interested in donating money or good to the orphanage where the boys have lived, you can let me know anytime. Jason or I will pick them up gladly. You can email me at bibbnabb@aol.com if you have items to donate.
